CAREERS AT RIVERCITY

MUSIC INSTRUCTOR

Apply for instructor position

Teaching students of various ages, experiences, and backgrounds. Lessons are typically 30 minutes per student and occur weekly. It is important that the teacher adheres to the interests of the students and guide them towards improvement musically. Flexible work hours and workload are essential parts of RiverCity Rock Star Academy’s employment.

  • Job Skills and Responsibilities

    • Weekly lessons (may be requested to teach remotely)

    • Communication with students/parents

    • Lesson preparation

    • Self-scheduling 

    • Communicate through school’s Slack app

    • Attend monthly staff meetings and any other meetings

    OPTIONAL:

    • Work with weekly programs

    • Work at retail desk

    • Work with summer camp

    • Work on administrative tasks

  • Job Qualifications

    • 2 years experience with instrument(s)

    • High school diploma

    • Ability to teach at different levels

    • Reliable and communicative

    • Customer service skills

    • COVID-19 vaccine required

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to play multiple instruments

    • Previous teaching experience

    • Live performance experience

    • Undergraduate degree and/or advanced degree
