about kristi

Kristi Snyder specializes in vocal performance, piano, composition, and musical theater. Her musical roots go back to her earliest childhood memories of keyboarding classes and performing in church at age 4. By age 12, she was helping to lead the music from the piano and had begun composing her own songs.

Throughout her youth she served as an accompanist and singer, including her four years as a student at Western Mennonite (now Western Christian) High School. Kristi holds a B.A. in Music from California State University Fresno, and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from FCC, where she graduated with the Dean’s Medallion for the Fine, Performing, and Communicative Arts Division. After college she worked as a high school Assistant Choral Director & piano accompanist, as well a keyboardist in musicals for various high schools and Fresno’s Children’s Musical Theatre. She has continued to compose over the years whenever the inspiration strikes. Kristi considers getting to perform Beethoven’s 9th Symphony (in German!) with the Fresno State Choir & the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra, and getting to serve as Director of “Fiddler in the Roof” to be among her most cherished experiences with music.

Kristi resides in Salem, OR with her husband Matthew, and when he’s not off fighting wildfire, they are probably cheering for their daughter, Bella, on the volleyball court! Kristi joined the RiverCity team in 2019 and is available for vocal and piano lessons.
