Preston Pearson

Preston is available for private lessons for guitar, bass guitar, drum, and piano, and training in live sound and recording.

Preston Pearson has been playing music most of his life, but really found his passion when he started playing live music and taking lessons at RiverCity Rock Star Academy (RiverCity) when he was 12-years-old. Over the years, Preston has had the opportunity to learn and play many different instruments as a part of various groups, bands, orchestras, and choirs. He has also been getting behind the scenes more in the last few years, running sound for live shows and theater productions.

Now, Preston is very excited to come back to RiverCity as an instructor and share that love of music with his students. He believes that whether you’re just starting out, looking to level up your skills, or write songs of your own, his easy-going teaching style focuses on what you want to learn with no pressure, just progress.

When he’s not teaching, you can find Preston jamming with friends, performing with the local band Soda Box (Instagram: SodaBoxOfficial), exploring film photography, doing pottery, writing and recording his own songs, and discovering fresh music to inspire his students.
