Anyone Can Play Ukulele With RiverCity's Dan Miles

Join us at Durbin’s Alley on Make Music Day from 1–2 PM for a fun-filled group ukulele session! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced player, this event is for you. Led by Dan Miles from RiverCity Rock Star Academy, this hour-long journey through 20th-century songs will have you strumming and singing in no time.

Discover the magic of the ukulele with simple 1- and 2-finger 'chord twins' that can be used to play a variety of styles, including pop, folk, jazz, Hawaiian, and blues. Bring your own ukulele or borrow one of ours (limited supply available).

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of Salem’s largest free music festival, Make Music Salem. Dan Miles, an experienced instructor from RiverCity Rock Star Academy, will guide you through the basics and beyond. You'll learn easy chords and techniques that will allow you to play a wide range of songs. This session is perfect for all skill levels, making it a great way to introduce yourself to the joys of playing music or to enhance your existing skills.
